Must see | Desert Attack

Right on the heels of Will, Speedhunters uploaded some footage of the Red Line Time Attack that was held @ Willow Springs before Ziptied. The clip gives a good impression of the track and it’s surroundings and the cars look great. The only thing I’m missing in this clip is the sound of the cars, all you here is BG-music, no four bangers, rotaries of boxers to be heard in the entire clip. To bad, it would have made this clip even better.

Must see | Will Roegge/Speedhunters All Star Bash 2009

Will Roegge posted a new movie of the Ziptied/Just Drift’s All Star Bash, this time flying under the flag of Speedhunters.com. It’s another great clip.

Ziptied/Just Drift’s All Star Bash has become quite a phenomenon within the US drift community. Drivers and cars came from places near and far to take part in the event. Including this dark red Nissan 240sx S13 which came from South Dakota to drift the Streets of Willow and Horse Thief Mile. The Risky Devil crew from Chicago, Illinois, Team Top Flight from Phoenix, Arizona, Vegas Drift from Las Vegas, Nevada, and Team Instant Part of Seattle, Washington were all in attendance. An expansive community of drivers all collected in one place to share a common passion: drifting.

I personally want to thank Charlie from Just Drift and everyone that I met out at Willow during All Star Bash. Its really nice to be around people who are passionate about what they do and enjoy driving. To me that’s why the Sunday sessions during All Star Bash are the best. Party laps of multi-car tandems, friends relaxing in the pits, and people enjoying drifting is why I have continued to attend ASB.

Must see | Formula D 09: The Story So Far

Speedhunters released a new movie, Formula D 09: The Story So Far. It’s great. What they say about it:

When we launched Speedhunters.com just over a year ago we had two types of videos in production: Slo-Mo Moments and Car Tours. This worked well for a while, but soon it became time to switch things up.

We moved on to creating Montage Videos which set racing action against scored music beds. This again was a good thing as we ended up making some pretty cool videos last year especially our Ebisu Drift, MSC, Team Orange and the Spa FIA GT Videos.

This particular video started out as a Long Beach Formula D music montage film. In fact we almost ended up releasing it after Long Beach, but put the brakes on as the last moment.

I just didn’t find the video to be inspiring and exciting, it felt like more of the same if that makes sense… and it also didn’t compare well against the drift-music montage films being produced by Will Roegge and Josh Herron.

A new style was needed…. After several false starts, I think we’ve found something.

So I’d like to present to you what I’m going to term: the Speedhunters Mediascape. Sounds lofty, but I think it’s the best descriptive term for what you’re about to see.

This video chronicles The Story So Far from rounds 1-3 of Formula Drift 2009… We hope you like it!

I’m a regular visitor of both Speedhunters and Auto Otaku. Mike Garret posts on both these sites (Auto Otaku is indeed by his hand). He regularly writes about the Rauh Welt Built Porsches.

For me they are the best looking modified Porsches. Some of them are overdone with a lot of big wings. But most of it is form following function. So after one of the latest posts of Mike about the Idlers games at Tsukuba Circuit (part 1 and part 2), I decided it was time to collect some photo’s to let you see the cars that fascinate me (but I bet you have already seen them).

Nog een mooie toevoeging aan de blogrol, RiceBoyTv. Een aantal jaar geleden keek ik regelmatig op SuperStreetOnline.com. Na wat veranderingen ben ik echter afgeknapt op die site, en heb ik er niet meer naar om gekeken.
