… Nothin’ to Worry About!

Found on MotorMavens this to good not be shown here as well. Enjoy!

“Nothin’ to Worry About” from Justin Shreeve Films on Vimeo.

A broken foot and multiple equipment issues didn’t keep me from running around Evergreen Speedway last Sunday. Evergreen Drift’s invite-only season opener was a great success, despite several wrecks and fires. Tires were destroyed on track, while old friends caught up with one another in the uncharacteristic warmth of the Washington sun.

This event was a testament to the true nature of drifting. Pushing through misfortune to create something breathtakingly beautiful, all the while having the collective time of our life. I find it ironic that although times may be hard, when we come together to share what we love, we find a feeling of euphoria.

For those few hours, we feel as though we have nothing to worry about.

Well, I haven’t posted much videos as of late. I hadn’t looked at Vimeo for a while, mostly because of a crappy browser and slooooow connection at my workplace. But… I did feel I needed to show you these!
Maybe you’ve seen one or all, but enjoy anyway!

Ferrari 575M by Mike Boldt

17 03 2010

First I thought of making this a snap shot, but it is rare enough to make it a small feature. I mean, you don’t see pictures of a modified Ferrari everyday and won’t even mention seeing one in real life.
A Ferrari 575M (M for Maranello) is a development of the 550. It’s got a honking great V12 up front. What you see here is beautiful white example on black wheels with a little red pinstripe. Although I’ve personally had enough of that ish, these still look good on this particular car. The thing that spoke out to me though, was the rear. It’s just bad ass!

While going through Flickr I came across this S2K Turbo. Wide wheels, a nice stance, a turbo and lots of carbonkevlar… I like!

The devil is in the details! This nice S2K looks to have devil’s horns with the clever use of the brake lights in this shot. Nice one!

Mazda RX-7 by Paddy McGrath

4 03 2010

Yesterday I posted the preview, today it’s time for the real deal. This RX-7 once again shows what a good looking car it still is, even after 18 years!
While adding parts to this example, the owner hasn’t ruined the sleek lines of the original, but merely enhanced them. The small rear wing for example ties in nicely and at first glance I hadn’t noticed the new frontwings.
What I did strike me was the colour. You can say grey is a dull colour, but this grey looks so good!
Look at the shots and decide what you think. Paddy has done a great job at the shots!

EDIT: In response to Freddy’s question I asked Paddy what wheels are on the car.

They’re Advan Model 6’s AFAIK, F18x9 R18x10.

So, there you go!
